Sara Sargent was taken aback when Connor Messey kindly offered to repair her friend’s car free of charge. “Ashley had broken her ankle and was in dire need of the money from selling her car,” Sara explained. “I was assisting her in the process when I met Connor. Rather than showing interest in buying the vehicle, he generously offered to fix it.”
After being out of work for several months due to an injury, Ashley Bradshaw found herself in a tough financial situation. In order to make ends meet, she decided to sell her car, but unfortunately, she couldn’t afford to fix it first. She listed it on a popular social media site, hoping to get some interest from potential buyers.
That’s when Connor stepped in. He responded to her ad and came to take a look at the car. However, when he found out that the necessary repair was a relatively inexpensive $80 part, he had a change of heart and decided not to buy it.
Despite not making a sale, Connor’s kind gesture did not go unnoticed. Ashley and her friends were so touched by his willingness to help out, they decided to nominate him for recognition.
