On September 30, 2005, the Texas Panhandle witnessed a significant event.
Child Advocate : Do you know why you are here today? Robin Doan (at age 10): To talk about what happened this morning…. I have a question. Do I really have to talk about what happened this morning again? Because I’ve told people and told people, and it just crushes me every time I say it … I can’t really talk about that again.
When recalling the events of the past, Robin Doan shares that she was only 10 years old when it all happened. Despite her young age and small stature, she was able to endure the challenges that came her way.
911 operator : 911. What is your emergency? Robin Doan [to 911]:: Um. There was a shootout in my house and I don’t know who’s dead. And I’m scared half to death.
911 operator : Is there anybody else in the house with you? Robin Doan : No, I think I’m the only one alive. I don’t know, but I’m scared. I want my mom.
Robin Doan shared that she grew up with her mother, Michell Conrad, stepfather, Brian Conrad, and older brother, Zach Doan. She had a furry companion named Molly, and her stepfather was a farmer. Robin also revealed that her mother was six months pregnant during that time.
Robin Doan [to 911]: I so hope my mom is not dead.
Robin Doan recalls the traumatic night when he experienced a nightmare that turned into a real-life nightmare. He vividly remembers hearing gunshots in his dream, only to realize upon waking up that the sounds were actually coming from inside his own house. The commotion caused his mother to start screaming, and the chaos continued to unfold.
For a duration of two-and-a-half hours, I pretended to be dead. However, lying there wasn’t enough for me, and I knew I had to take action. Without hesitation, I got up and left the room, dialing 911 as I did so.
Robin Doan [to 911]: Please can you just send somebody out here? 911 operator : Somebody’s coming honey, somebody’s coming.
Chad Brooks, a former deputy sheriff, first responder, and currently a Texas State Trooper, expressed his frustration, saying, “I just couldn’t get there fast enough.”
Robin Doan [to 911]: I’m cold. I’m very cold.
Chad Brooks expressed his urgency, stating that he couldn’t get there fast enough.
Robin Doan [to 911]: I heard my mama scream …
Chad Brooks wondered what could have happened and why was she the only one on the phone.
Robin Doan [to 911]: I want my mom. I want my mom.
“15 SHOTS”
Robin Doan [to 911]: It’s on Highway 70. It’s about 13.3 miles out from the bowling alley. I have a purple shirt on I have purple pants on. 911 operator : OK. They’re coming, they’re coming. Robin Doan : Thank you.
Robin Doan shared her experience of being lost and waiting for rescue. She expressed that it felt like a long time before help arrived and she kept scanning the area, hoping to see someone coming to her rescue.
Robin Doan [to 911]: All I want right now is my blanket and my pillow. … I see him. I see him.
As soon as I turned down the driveway, I had an unforgettable experience. I vividly remember seeing a child who was talking on a phone, and I could sense a hint of panic in their voice as they mentioned something about a shooting.
As soon as she saw me, she ran straight towards me and I embraced her in a warm hug. Despite being visibly distressed, she was able to communicate her thoughts and feelings with remarkable clarity, providing me with a detailed account of everything she had experienced and heard.
Robin Doan recounted how he was reassured by someone who told him that everything was going to be alright and that they would find a solution.
Chad Brooks made it clear that they couldn’t go into the house with her. He realized that he needed to find a way to keep her safe in the middle of nowhere. To ensure her security, he decided to lock her in his patrol car.
Robin Doan witnessed a tense situation where the police officers had their guns drawn. Their primary objective was to clear the house and ensure no one was inside. Along with that, they aimed to determine who was alive and who wasn’t.
Gary Henderson, the former Sheriff of Hemphill County, explains that entering a crime scene is like entering a puzzle where the ultimate question is “who done it.”
Upon our arrival, we couldn’t help but notice that everything was in order, almost like a quintessential all-American family. We even remarked, “This is like the all-American family.” The coffee was all set to brew for the next morning, and the parents and children were busy preparing for the arrival of their new addition.
Robin Doan shares her emotional struggle while waiting for her family members in a powerful statement. She reveals that she kept playing games with herself in her head, wondering when her mom, Brian, and Molly would walk out of there. She wished for all her family members to be safe and reunited with her, just like she was. Her words reflect the pain and uncertainty that families go through during difficult times.
Robin Doan firmly believes that asking the question, “Who’s still alive?” is not something that she would ever do. In her opinion, it is simply not something that should be asked. She is confident in her stance and would not waiver on this matter.
As I locked eyes with the chief deputy, he gestured towards a young girl and said, “Head over there and be with her.”
With utmost care, I wanted to ensure that Robin felt comfortable and taken care of. I approached her and asked, “Is there anything that I can do for you, Robin?” To which, she replied, “I wanna feed my animals.” Without hesitation, I responded, “I have experience in feeding animals. Let’s go ahead and do that.”
Perhaps it’s a matter of sheer survival, transitioning from an incredibly traumatic situation to something that offers a temporary escape.
Robin Doan recalls a moment when she received help feeding her goats and laughs at the amount of alfalfa hay the person tried to give them. She remembers telling them that it was too much and refusing the excess hay.
Chad Brooks was amazed by her sudden transformation. She had a complete shift in attitude and began boasting about her animal’s success, whether it was first or second place. Her brother also achieved the same feat. However, once they left the corrals, the switch flipped again, and she returned to reality. She became emotional and held onto Chad’s forearm, revealing her vulnerable side.
Robin Doan bravely expressed her concerns to the law enforcement officials, asking if her mother and Brian would make it out alive. When they had to tell her that they wouldn’t, it shattered her heart. However, Robin was the only one who was able to walk out of the situation alive. Unfortunately, Zach didn’t wake up and never knew what was going on. Robin is grateful that he didn’t have to suffer, and she’s thankful for that.
As soon as everything had happened, I headed straight to my great-grandmother’s house. It was a gathering of families, friends, and acquaintances, all in tears. There was chaos and confusion in the air, with people shouting at the top of their voices, demanding to know what had happened. I was too frightened to provide any answers or explanations, so I remained silent.
THE BRIDGE, CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER | 12 HOURS AFTER THE MURDERS
Robin Doan [advocate interview]: I really don’t want to go to sleep anymore. It makes me to where I’m too scared. I really don’t want to go to sleep. OK. Advocate : OK.
According to Robin Doan, she was placed in a room with a representative from The Bridge organization. Notably, the room had a microphone and a camera installed.
Robin Doan [advocate interview]: He had shot in my room and missed me. Advocate : OK. Robin Doan : And so I had to pretend like I was dead two whole hours…
According to Robin Doan, the entire incident was recorded on video to ensure that there was proper evidence. The footage was captured for the sole purpose of supporting the case and nothing else.
Advocate : Did you hear anybody say anything. Could you hear anybody talking? Robin Doan : Nobody talked
When asked about her memories, Robin Doan was questioned, “Can you describe what he looked like?”
Robin Doan [advocate interview]: I don’t know this for sure but I thought I saw a white eyes … a white face.
Gary Henderson asked the other investigators if the woman had heard any shots and if she did, how many shots did she hear approximately.
Robin Doan [advocate interview]: And when he shot I saw a flash.
According to Gary Henderson, the 10-year-old girl confidently stated that there were “15 shots” fired during the incident. It’s disturbing to think that such a traumatic event could leave such a vivid memory in a young child’s mind, especially when she was abruptly awoken at 3:00 am. The investigation confirmed her statement, as 15 fired rounds were discovered inside the house.
Robin Doan [advocate interview]: I can’t talk about it. It’s too heartbreaking. Advocate : OK.
Former District Attorney of Gray County, Lynn Switzer, expressed her officers’ concern regarding the safety of Robin.
It’s important to note that, during this time, we were completely clueless about the culprit responsible for this event, the motive behind it, or the whereabouts of the individuals involved.
Robin Doan recalled being placed in a shelter with her biological father, stepmother, and stepsister. Access to the shelter was restricted, requiring a buzzer to enter and equipped with cameras all around.
As I grasped the gravity of the situation, it became clear that the restriction was imposed for my well-being. Any movement outside of the premises was prohibited, except for attending the funeral.
Lynn Hancock, Pastor at Briarwood Church: When it came to the service, we were prepared for a large turnout from the community, and we certainly got one.
The Conrads were adored by everyone who knew them. They embodied the essence of “salt of the earth” kind of people, as we would say in The Panhandle. They were authentic individuals who were genuinely loved and cherished. Not only did they care about their own well-being, but they also showed compassion towards others.
Robin Doan vividly recalls the painful memory of sitting and staring at each casket, one after the other, repeatedly. She expresses her emotional turmoil, stating that it wasn’t fair to have to endure such heart-wrenching agony.
Jay Foster, a Texas Ranger, was present at the funeral where surveillance was set up at the church to keep an eye out for any suspicious individuals.
The funeral services did not yield any leads.
Lynn Hancock expressed her concern over the heightened anxiety and fear within the community. The possibility of a perpetrator entering their homes and committing a similar crime had people taking extra precautions. Doors were being locked, and those who possessed firearms were ensuring they were within reach. The situation had caused a sense of unease and fear among the residents.
According to Gary Henderson, the focus is on allowing the evidence to speak for itself. The team has obtained several pieces of evidence, including shell casings, blood evidence, multiple shoe prints, and tire tracks found at the location. The team is relying heavily on these findings to lead them to the answers they seek.
Erin Moriarty reported that the investigators lacked any DNA or fingerprints to solve the case. It was evident that the crime was not a burglary, which led them to search for an alternative motive.
According to Jay Foster, the prevailing theory was that the incident was a drug hit gone wrong. The perpetrators had mistakenly targeted the wrong house. Despite following numerous leads, investigators were unable to make any significant progress in the case.
Gary Henderson expressed his confusion regarding the motive behind the incident, stating that there seemed to be no logical explanation for it. He further added that everyone was left pondering about the perpetrator and their intentions, wondering who could have possibly been responsible for it.
THE MISSOURI MURDERS
As Chad Brooks, a first responder, recalls, the identity of the culprit was a mystery. He remembers feeling perplexed, as there seemed to be no justifiable motive for such a heinous act. “Who would do this to this family?” he wonders aloud.
One day prior | Pineville, Missouri
When Matthew McCool’s family member attempted to reach out to his mother, they were unable to get in touch. McCool received a call about the situation and was left concerned.
After attempting to reach both my mother’s cell phone and the house phone, I didn’t receive any answer. Initially, I wasn’t too worried about it.
At lunchtime, I made the decision to depart from work and head towards the house in an attempt to locate them. Upon arriving, a relative was waiting outside and informed me of the tragic news that my mother and grandfather had been brutally murdered. Losing my mother was especially difficult for me as she was not only a devoted and caring parent but also my closest confidant. My grandfather, on the other hand, was a constant source of encouragement and support throughout my life.
Losing a father has a profound impact on one’s life. I can relate to the feeling of losing someone who has been an integral part of your life. It’s not just the loss of one person, but it feels like you’ve lost everyone in your life. The pain of losing a loved one is indescribable, and the grief can be overwhelming.
According to McDonald County Sheriff Michael Hall, the individuals who lost their lives in the residence were Orlie McCool and Dawn McCool.
Former McDonald County Deputy Sheriff, Don Ruby, stated that the shell casings found at the crime scene were unusual and appeared to be of Russian origin. He further added that the ammunition was not something that could be easily purchased at a store like Walmart. It was a unique type of ammo that caught his attention.
According to Deputy Michael Hall, their team was analyzing the ammunition and shell casings when one of the fellow deputies who frequently handles crime scenes brought up an interesting point. The deputy revealed that he had recently taken a burglary report from a man named Scott King who lived nearby. As it turned out, Mr. King reported that his son, Levi, had broken into his gun safe while he was away and stole multiple firearms, some of which had the same type of ammunition found at the scene of the crime.
According to Mike Hall, the process began by attempting to piece together information. During this time, it was discovered that the Dodge Dakota pickup belonging to Orlie and Dawn McCool was missing. As a result, it was reported as stolen in the nationwide computer system.
According to Don Ruby, the warrant for Levi’s arrest was signed at around 11:00 pm that night and was immediately entered into the system for nationwide pickup.
Matthew McCool expressed confusion over the situation, as it seemed entirely unprovoked and random.
The authorities kept us informed about the situation and identified Levi King as the suspect. According to them, King needed a way to escape the area, and they believe that he targeted my grandfather’s house and truck for transportation.
El Paso, Texas – The Following Day
According to Mike Hall, Levi King was discovered by the border patrol in El Paso inside a truck. He confessed to having guns in the back, which caught their attention. Upon running the tags, it was discovered that the truck was stolen with a potential suspect from a murder inside. Consequently, he was detained at El Paso P.D. and subjected to an interview.
Levi King interrogation : Before I even realized it, I mean, I’d just pointed it at him and fired. Detective : How many times did you fire? Levi King : Just once. He spun and fell over. Detective : You walk back to the door and you see this woman — why? …Explain to me why you shot at her. Levi King : I was scared. I was, I mean, I didn’t know what was gonna happen to me. You know, I was panicking.
When we arrived at El Paso P.D., the detectives who were handling the case greeted us. As I was looking around, I noticed Levi standing nearby. I recognized him and called out his name, to which he responded by acknowledging me. After that, we loaded him and his pickup truck, and began our journey back to Missouri.
Levi vividly recounted his experience, mentioning that even after several hours had passed, he could still smell the gunpowder, sweat, and the unmistakable scent of blood. He likened the feeling to a high that was incomparable to any drug he had ever tried before.
In the coming week or so, I was informed by a few detention officers at the jail that Levi had expressed a desire to meet and converse with me. We promptly retrieved him from his cell and escorted him to the outdoor exercise yard. During our conversation, Levi made a statement that caught me off guard – “You know there are four more in Texas?”
“THERE’S FOUR MORE IN TEXAS”
When Don Ruby encountered Levi King, he was told that there were four more like him in Texas. Don was unsure whether to believe him or not. Levi had been in jail for two weeks, yet nobody was searching for him or questioning his whereabouts. Don was puzzled as to why Levi would make such a statement. Levi even described a location with a big cross in Texas, and Don knew exactly where he was talking about as there were only a couple of big crosses that stood out like that.
Former District Attorney of Gray County, Lynn Switzer, recalls the pivotal moment when the Pineville Sheriff’s Office in Missouri called her team, which ultimately blew the case wide open.
Levi King was a man who deserved nothing less than death for his actions.
Four Years Later: The Aftermath of Robin’s Family Murder
As a defense attorney, Joe Marr Wilson clarified that the trial’s sole purpose was to determine the appropriate sentence for the defendant.
The ultimate decision rested on whether he would face execution or spend the rest of his life in prison back in Missouri.
When Robin Doan was just about to turn 15, she found herself in court for a trial that carried the possibility of the death penalty. She vividly remembers telling them that the perpetrator had caused immense harm to her family and that she was okay with the death penalty. She recalls thinking that it was the right thing to do.
According to Joe Marr Wilson, in death penalty cases, it is crucial to avoid portraying the accused as an evil and murderous entity. Instead, the focus should be on humanizing the person. Wilson explains that their first task was to transform Levi’s image from that of a monster to that of a human being. This approach can help the jury make a more informed and compassionate decision.
Since his adolescence, Levi had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, along with other diagnoses for depression, and at times, with some psychosis. There were instances where he was even diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Erin Moriarty reveals that Levi King came from a large family of seven children, and from an early age, he displayed serious antisocial behavior by setting fires and killing animals. His home was also plagued with rampant drug use, with his father introducing him to hard liquor and marijuana. As he entered his teenage years, Levi King progressed to using harder drugs such as meth and heroin. Furthermore, the environment he grew up in was far from ordinary and would shock anyone who saw it.
Joe Marr Wilson grew up in an environment that was plagued by poverty and despair. The sheer magnitude of the situation was not fully apparent until we visited the area and experienced it firsthand. The environment was truly terrifying, with filth being the most noticeable aspect. The insulation was melted and blackened, and there were ceremonial knives and swords on display on one wall. Despite the lack of basic necessities like food, the people there somehow had access to guns and ammunition.
According to Lynn Switzer, the defense team did an excellent job of portraying Levi as a helpless, abused, and sorrowful person. However, there are many others who have grown up in similar or even worse environments than Levi, and they have not resorted to committing heinous crimes.
Levi King takes the lives of others simply because he enjoys the scent of blood and the aroma of gun smoke. He shows no remorse for his actions.
According to Robin Doan, she was faced with the daunting task of testifying against a murderer who had taken the lives of her loved ones. Despite her reluctance, she knew that she had to do it for the sake of her family. Robin was the only one who survived the tragic incident, and she felt a responsibility to be the voice for those who didn’t make it out alive.
Gary Henderson recalls the fear that Robin experienced before her testimony. He reassured her by saying, “Robin, we’ve got your back. Go do what you need to do, tell the truth … and just realize we’re right outside this door. He will never get to you.” Despite her initial apprehension, Robin found the strength to speak the truth.
Lynn Switzer: While testifying, Robin became overwhelmed with emotion and apologized.
It was heart-wrenching to witness the ordeal that Robin had to go through while testifying. The most difficult part was seeing the agony that the young girl had to endure. Despite all the suffering, she displayed immense strength by stating firmly that she would not allow the perpetrator to take away her life or control her in any way. Her resilience and determination were truly inspiring.
Robin Doan reflected on her decision to forgive Levi King, the man responsible for her brother’s death. She expressed that she did not want to live her life filled with bitterness and anger. For Robin, forgiving Levi King was a way to find peace within herself. It was also a reflection of her upbringing and family values. She believed that forgiveness was the right thing to do and it allowed her to move forward from the tragedy that had occurred.
Gary Henderson presents the evidence and follows the legal process of allowing the defense to present their case. Ultimately, 12 individuals are tasked with making the challenging decision of whether or not to take a man’s life.
LEVI KING’S FATE DECIDED
Gary Henderson reflects on the haunting question of “why” in the face of tragedy. The reasons behind why certain families, days, or towns are struck with hardship may never be fully understood.
Lynn Switzer, Former District Attorney of Gray County, emphasizes the difficulty in comprehending the lack of motive and randomness associated with certain crimes. It is challenging for people to accept that there are individuals out there who are inherently evil, and Levi King is one of them.
Switzer firmly believes in holding King accountable for his actions and is urging the 12 individuals responsible for his sentencing to impose the death penalty.
Joe Marr Wilson expressed his strong opinion about the heinous crime committed, stating that it was indeed a dreadful act. He emphasized the importance of being truthful with the jury during the trial and the efforts made to convince them that the perpetrator deserved to be punished severely. Wilson stated that they made it clear that the criminal would never be able to walk as a free person and that this in itself was a significant punishment. He also added that the offender would never be able to harm anyone else again.
Lynn Switzer: I was completely immersed in this case for years. It consumed my every thought and action. But even with all my dedication and hard work, there were moments where mistakes were made. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we don’t always get it right.
After a lengthy deliberation of around seven to eight hours, the jury reached a decision. While one member suggested life imprisonment without parole, the remaining jurors favored the death penalty.
According to Joe Marr Wilson, the eventual one hold out was able to hold out due to the strength they gained from the situation. He also mentioned that they never believed they would receive a life verdict and that the best outcome would be a hung jury.
Robin Doan expressed how Lynn Switzer fought for her family, despite the look of disappointment on Lynn’s face that made it seem like she had failed them. Robin was grateful for Lynn’s efforts and could never thank her enough. Additionally, Robin appreciated all the law enforcement officials who were involved and testified in the case. In the end, Robin felt like she and her family had won, regardless of the outcome.
Levi King had been sentenced to prison in Missouri, and I believed that he should serve his sentence there. As a Texan, I did not want him to be brought back to my state. His actions had already caused enough harm here, and I did not want to risk any further damage.
Growing up in Pampa, Texas, my home was everything to me. It was where my parents, mom, Brian, and dad, raised me. When it was time to leave, I felt like I was running away from my problems, and I didn’t want to be seen as a coward. However, I don’t want to stay there forever either.
According to Lynn Switzer, Robin puts in a lot of effort to avoid being a victim. However, Switzer admits that she sometimes catches a glimpse of the frightened little girl that still resides within Robin.
According to Robin Doan, the fear of not being able to protect oneself still lingers and is a very real concern. She admits to feeling uneasy when left alone because her mind tends to wander and conjure up negative thoughts such as “what if” scenarios. Robin often questions herself, wondering if she could have done things differently to prevent unfavorable outcomes. She even contemplates waking up a friend for companionship in times of distress.
Denise Mackie, who is Robin’s friend and former coach, believes that the impact of Robin’s situation can be felt every day.
Robin continues to grapple with recurring nightmares and the haunting memories of the traumatic event that she experienced. She often recalls her mother’s screams, and there are instances where she would message me during the night, expressing her fear of strange noises. Despite not showing it outwardly, I believe that she is still struggling internally with the emotional aftermath of the incident.
Robin Doan admits to having a strong belief in superstitions. On the day of the incident, she was wearing long sleeves, long pants, and socks. However, she no longer wears these items when she goes to bed as a result. Additionally, Robin avoids leaving her bedroom door open as she feels that there is a mysterious figure lurking in her doorway.
The dark has always been a source of fear for me. Even as an adult, walking into an empty house sends shivers down my spine. I feel compelled to search every corner and crevice, just to be sure that I am truly alone. It’s a habit that I can’t seem to shake, no matter how hard I try.
Birthdays can be particularly difficult dates to navigate, especially those of loved ones who have passed away. Whether it’s the birthday of a sibling, parent, or friend, the absence of their presence can make the day feel empty and incomplete. Even one’s own birthday can be a challenge, as it’s a time when celebrations typically involve those closest to us. It’s not uncommon to experience a wave of emotions that can lead to tears, as we long for the familiarity of normalcy and the comfort of those we miss dearly.
According to Erin Moriarty, Robin is currently 21 years old and has lived with her biological father, aunt, and friends throughout her life. However, she has never felt completely at home since meeting Levi King. Despite briefly attempting counseling, Robin did not find it to be beneficial.
Robin Doan expressed that he did not feel the need to speak to a psychiatrist. He mentioned that he would rather talk to his family or a law enforcement officer. Robin stated that he did not want someone to console him or ask him how he felt. He did not want anyone’s pity and wanted to be treated the same as everyone else.
ROBIN’S SUPPORT SYSTEM
As a Texas Ranger, Jay Foster has witnessed many heroic acts. However, the bravery displayed by Robin on that fateful day will always be etched in his memory. The incredible resilience that Robin showed to survive the incident is truly remarkable and deserves recognition.
Our aim was to provide her with a support system that she could rely on in case she had any questions, issues, or just needed someone to talk to. The entire law enforcement community came together and raised funds to initiate a scholarship program for her. Every time I receive a call from Robin, I feel overjoyed as she holds a special place in my heart, and she always will.
According to Lynn Switzer, the individuals who treated her during a traumatic experience showed her immense care and affection, treating her like their own little sister. Despite carrying big guns, these individuals possessed even bigger hearts, as Switzer attested. The experience brought her and these individuals closer together, forming a bond that was unbreakable.
Chad Brooks, a former deputy sheriff, first responder, and now a Texas State Trooper, shares a heartwarming story about his connection with a girl named Robin. According to him, they kept in touch over the years, and when Robin turned 16, she invited him to her birthday party. However, Chad admits that every time he visits the place, he feels a sense of hesitation. He wonders whether his presence brings happiness or sadness to Robin’s life.
Robin Doan expressed her positive relationship with Chad, stating that every time they hug, it’s the same as the first day they met. She describes the hug as a heartwarming and safe experience, emphasizing the strong bond between them.
I refuse to allow setbacks to hold me back. That’s just not who I am and it never will be.
I have experience playing multiple sports including basketball, volleyball, softball, and track. Additionally, I have enjoyed being a cheerleader where I have had the opportunity to lead and motivate others. As someone who enjoys being in a leadership role, I find these experiences to be valuable and fulfilling.
Denise Mackie: Robin and I have shared countless moments together throughout our time as companions.
During prom, my house served as the venue for her preparation. I was there to witness her graduation, and I intend to be around for moments when she needs a mother figure. She shared that her mom won’t be present during her wedding, and I want to be there to support her on her special day.
Denise is like a mother to me, I affectionately call her my adopted mom. Whenever I need help, whether it’s with homework or choosing what to wear to school, I turn to Denise. She has always been there for me, from the small things to the big things. I trust her completely and value her guidance and support. Robin Doan shared this heartfelt sentiment about her relationship with Denise.
According to Denise Mackie, Robin possesses a remarkable positive outlook on life. She further adds that Robin has one of the most caring hearts that anyone could ever witness. Denise believes that Robin is best suited for a profession that involves helping and caring for people.
Gary Henderson expressed his admiration for Robin Doan, stating that he has made the statement multiple times in the past and still believes it today. He hopes to live long enough to understand the incredible and special reason why Robin was kept on this earth. Gary looks forward to witnessing this reason unfold.
Robin Doan reflects on why she was the only one who survived, acknowledging that she may never know the answer. Despite this, she remains optimistic and believes that her experience may serve a greater purpose, whether it be helping others through difficult times or guiding her future family. Although she is uncertain about her purpose, she eagerly anticipates its eventual revelation.
