During a Christian nationalist conference, Rudy Giuliani resorted to using a derogatory term to refer to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, which is a new low for him.
Giuliani resorted to name-calling and referred to her as a “ho,” which is a derogatory term commonly used to label a woman as a sex worker. The comment was made with the intention of discrediting her reputation.
While speaking at the ReAwaken American Tour, a far-right movement launched in part by Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser to Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, who was indicted in Georgia last year for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, called out Willis.
In an online clip of his speech, Giuliani can be heard saying, “Fani the ho”. The crowd responds with whistles and cheers, and Giuliani pauses before mispronouncing the prosecutor’s name several times.
He apologizes and asks, “Faw-nee? What does that mean? F-A-N-I is not pronounced as Faw-nee, and I refuse to call her that.”
After a brief moment of silence, he follows up with: “If only she would resign and disappear, I could eliminate the ‘ho’ part.”
In Georgia, Giuliani maintains his innocence and has pleaded not guilty.
In Arizona, he maintains his innocence and has entered a not guilty plea after being indicted earlier this year on nine felony charges related to election interference.
According to NPR, the ReAwaken America Tour, curated by MAGA enthusiast Clay Clark, is a cultural roadshow that embodies a fusion of conservative Christian revival, QAnon exhibition, and political rally.
