Tragically, a Disneyland worker lost her life when she fell from a golf cart that was in motion and struck her head at the Anaheim theme park.
Sgt. Frank Gonzalez, spokesperson for the Orange County Coroner’s office, has confirmed that Bonnye Mavis Lear, a 60-year-old resident of Fullerton, has been identified as the woman in question.
On Wednesday, June 5, at around 11:30 a.m., emergency services were called to Club 33, Disneyland’s private area located at West Ball Road and South West Street, in response to a crash.
According to the Anaheim Police Department, Lear had fallen off a moving golf cart and sustained head injuries. Upon arrival, the police found her and immediately took her to the hospital. Unfortunately, she passed away on Friday due to the severity of her injuries.
President of the Disneyland Resort, Ken Potrock, conveyed his sympathies and stated that the company was committed to providing support to the family and colleagues of the deceased.

At Club 33, located in the New Orleans Square area of the park, Lear was employed in membership support services for the exclusive members-only restaurant and lounge.
