A man from Kansas City, Missouri is now facing charges after a fatal stabbing incident at a bus stop, resulting in the death of another man.
Ronald E. Moore, aged 51, has been charged by Jackson County prosecutors for first-degree assault and armed criminal action. The prosecutor’s office has mentioned that they will assess the case for any additional charges.
At around 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 2nd, the authorities were notified of an incident that occurred in the vicinity of E. 70th Street and Prospect Avenue.
When KCPD officers got on the scene, they discovered a victim with stab wounds. On Friday, June 7, the man succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police have not published the victim’s identification at this time.
According to court filings, officers found Moore at the scene with blood on his clothes and hands. Moore received a laceration in his left palm.
According to court filings, a witness alleged that Moore approached the victim and others at the bus stop and began attacking them. The witness stated that there was no altercation or words exchanged between the victim and Moore before the stabbing.
According to the witness, Moore stabbed the victim many times in the head, walked away, and then returned to stab the victim again.
According to court documents, the witness yelled at Moore, “You’re going to kill him!” Moore responded, “I want him to die!”
On the scene, authorities took Moore into custody.
