Gunfire erupted throughout New York City on Saturday night, coinciding with a notable increase in summer-like temperatures.
As darkness fell, bullets struck six people in four separate shootings, two of whom died, according to the NYPD.
The deadliest explosion occurred at 10:30 p.m. at a residence in South Richmond Hill, Queens.
Police discovered a 52-year-old lady with a gunshot wound at the 95th Street and 11th Avenue residence, as well as a 27-year-old guy with several gunshot wounds to his body, authorities said.
A mile away, authorities found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head and a revolver next to his body.
The hospital received the woman in stable condition, while the scene confirmed the men’s death. The police could not immediately say whether the 33-year-old guy was the gunman.
However, the deadly night began hours earlier in East Flatbush.
At 5:30 p.m., police reported shooting a 15-year-old boy in the left arm outside a residence.
Just a few miles away in Brownsville, a 58-year-old man was shot once in the left ankle in the Marcus Garvey Houses shortly before 8:45 p.m., the NYPD reported.
They both arrived at nearby hospitals in stable condition.
Just before 7:30 p.m., police shot another adolescent in the left elbow on the corner of West 135th Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem.
The 19-year-old victim is in stable condition, and the only arrest of the night was of a male person of interest.
We are currently investigating all four incidents.
