Senator John Fetterman and his wife Giselle were hospitalized following a car crash in Maryland.
According to the Maryland State Police, Fetterman, who is a Democrat, was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Traverse that collided with the back of a Chevrolet Impala on Sunday.

As per his office, Fetterman sustained a shoulder bruise during the incident, and he and his wife were released on Sunday afternoon.

According to officials, one of the passengers in Fetterman’s vehicle and the driver of the Impala were both transported by ambulance to War Memorial Hospital in West Virginia for medical evaluation.
According to a spokesperson for Fetterman’s office, John and Gisele were in a car accident with another driver on Sunday morning. As a precautionary measure, they were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Fortunately, John only sustained a bruised shoulder and they were both released later that day. The spokesperson confirmed that they are in good spirits and glad to be back in Braddock. The Independent reported this incident.
The collision occurred at 8am while both vehicles were headed west on I-70.
Police have stated that they are still conducting an investigation into the crash and as of now, no citations have been issued.
