- Immediate Response: Bystanders initiated CPR until ski patrol personnel arrived, took over resuscitation efforts, and transported McDonald to the Denver Health Winter Park Medical Center located at the base of the resort.
- Outcome: Despite all attempts to revive him, McDonald was pronounced dead at the medical center.
