WICHITA, Kan. – A 41-year-old man was tragically killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning, June 14, 2025.
The incident occurred on the eastbound on-ramp to Kellogg Drive from Tyler Road, a location that connects residential and commercial areas to the busy U.S. Highway 54 corridor.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after 12:46 a.m., responding to reports of a person lying injured on the road.
Victim Found with Fatal Head Injuries
Upon arrival, officers with the Wichita Police Department discovered the victim suffering from severe head trauma.
Life-saving measures were not possible, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
According to authorities, early evidence at the site indicates that the man was struck by a moving vehicle, which then left the scene without stopping or rendering aid, as required by Kansas law.
