Kansas City’s Atlas9 - The Most Bizarre Interactive Art Experience Opens Soon

Kansas City is about to unveil its boldest art project yet. Atlas9, a 46,000-square-foot immersive art experience, is opening on Thursday, September 25 in Kansas City, Kansas.

With 30 themed rooms, interactive technology, live performances, and even a hidden speakeasy, organizers promise it will be “the most bizarre experience” locals and tourists have seen.

What Is Atlas9?

The exterior of the Atlas9 building at 1100 N. 98th Street looks otherworldly, marked by a towering space man statue. Inside, guests are transported into a “reel world” where the boundaries of cinema and reality collide.

The storyline sets the stage: a projectionist named Frank creates the Holomax, a revolutionary projection system. But when it explodes, reality merges with film, causing popcorn, characters, and even appliances to come to life.

With experience creating attractions like the Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum and Legoland projects, the team brought together technology, art, and storytelling into one cohesive experience.

From AI-powered pizza parlors to narrative-driven art, Atlas9 is not just an attraction—it’s an evolving storyworld. For locals and tourists alike, it promises to be Kansas City’s most bizarre and unforgettable experience yet.
