Emporia State Cross Country Secures Two Fourth Place Finishes At Griffon Invitational

The Emporia State Cross Country teams showcased their strong performance at the Griffon Invitational held on Saturday morning in St. Joseph, Missouri. Both the men’s and women’s teams earned impressive fourth place finishes in their respective team standings.

This event saw several standout individual performances, with runners placing high in the overall rankings, and the teams demonstrating resilience and teamwork.

Emporia State Men’s Team Performance

The Emporia State men’s cross country team had a solid outing at the Griffon Invitational, finishing fourth overall in the team standings. The team showed depth with multiple runners finishing in the top 30.

Leading the way for the Hornets was Treyton Laurance, who placed in the top ten, completing the 8-kilometer course in 26:36.35 for 10th place.

Emporia State Women’s Team Performance

On the women’s side, the Emporia State women’s cross country team also secured a fourth place finish in the team standings with a total of 80 pointsMason Bina led the team with an 11th place finish, completing the 5-kilometer course in 19:19.31.

Other standout runners for the Hornets included Brooklyn Nolte and Emma Bartholome, who finished 17th and 18th, respectively.
