A tragic Kansas Highway 10 (K-10) crash late Friday night in southwestern Lawrence claimed the life of a Kansas City resident and left a Lawrence man seriously injured.

The two-vehicle crash involved a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Eliseo J. Munoz, 23, of Lawrence, and an eastbound Kia Forte driven by 41-year-old Louise ImMasche of Kansas City, Missouri.

Investigators revealed that Munoz’s Tahoe crossed the center line, entering the eastbound lane, and struck ImMasche’s Kia directly.
Emergency crews arrived quickly, but ImMasche was pronounced dead at the scene, while Munoz was transported to an Overland Park hospital with serious injuries.
