Searching for Kansas court records is now easier, faster, and much more detailed. The Kansas Judicial Branch has introduced a brand-new online system called CaseSearch, designed to help people access public district court information quickly and without confusion.

What Is the New CaseSearch System?
The CaseSearch system is the Kansas Judicial Branch’s upgraded online platform that allows users to look up district court records. It replaces the older Kansas District Court Public Access Portal, which has been used for many years.
According to court officials, both systems are currently working as of November 27, but the older portal will soon shut down. Once that happens, CaseSearch will be the only way to look up Kansas district court records online.
The Kansas Appellate Courts Public Access Portal is not changing and will continue to work the same as before.
Why Did Kansas Create CaseSearch?
Judicial leaders shared that they built CaseSearch to give users a better and more complete experience. Instead of buying ready-made software, the state created its own system in-house. This allowed developers to design features that match what real users have been requesting.
Amy Raymond, the Chief of District Court Operations and Research, explained that after moving all district courts into one system, they wanted to take advantage of new technology to make information easier to access.
