A fatal rollover crash in southeast Kansas has left one man dead and two others injured, according to authorities. The incident occurred in Crawford County and is now under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).

The crash took place at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Kansas Highway 126, just west of U.S. Highway 69. Emergency crews responded quickly after reports of a high-speed collision involving two vehicles.
Details Of The Vehicles And Collision
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1995 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on K-126. Investigators say the truck was attempting to pass multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed when it collided with an eastbound 2023 Chevy Malibu.
Following the impact, the Ford F-150 left the roadway and rolled over, causing significant damage. The Chevy Malibu sustained severe impact during the collision.
Victim Identified At The Scene
The driver of the Chevy Malibu was identified as 37-year-old Craig Silvey of Cherokee. Authorities confirmed that Silvey was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
Injuries Reported In The Ford F-150
Both occupants of the Ford pickup were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment:
- The driver, a 16-year-old girl, suffered suspected minor injuries
- The passenger, a 48-year-old woman, sustained suspected serious injuries
