The development of the Rock Lake Conservation Area began in 2023, following the generous donation of 18 acres by the Rockhold family, who had previously owned the property.
The remaining acreage was sold to the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), ensuring the preservation and public enjoyment of this natural space.
Current Features and Activities
- Fishing: The lake is currently open for daytime fishing, offering anglers a chance to catch various species in a serene environment.
- Walking Trails: Plans are underway to develop walking trails, enhancing the area’s appeal to hikers and nature enthusiasts.
