Kingsley recounted that she spotted the stolen vehicle, which belonged to her significant other but was primarily used by her, in the Costco parking lot. Upon approaching the vehicle, she noticed a man inside and attempted to retrieve it.
As she held onto the car, the driver accelerated, causing her to be thrown to the ground and run over. She sustained severe injuries, including a cracked skull, mangled ears, facial injuries, a broken collarbone, and a fractured rib.
