Courtney Rowe Crowned Miss Missouri 2025 at 55th Anniversary Pageant

Courtney Rowe, a Kansas City native and graduate student at Northwest Missouri State University, has been officially crowned Miss Missouri 2025.

The announcement came on June 14 during the pageant’s 55th anniversary celebration, marking a memorable milestone for both the event and its newly crowned queen.

Academic and Professional Background

Rowe is the daughter of Michele and Mike Rowe of Kansas City. She holds a degree in journalism and is currently working as a journalist.

In addition to her media career, she intends to pursue a second degree in social work, signaling a strong commitment to advocacy and public service.

Rowe’s journey in pageantry began with her title as Miss Northwest during the Maryville competition, setting the stage for her rise to statewide recognition.

Preliminary Standout and Platform Advocacy

During the week-long competition, Rowe shone brightly, taking home the overall talent award for her jazz dance performance to the song “Sway.”

As Miss Missouri, she will promote her personal initiative, “The Purple Project: Raising Awareness Saving Lives,” which focuses on ending domestic violence across communities.

National Competition and Scholarship Award

Rowe will now represent Missouri at the Miss America pageant in Orlando, Florida, where the next national titleholder will be crowned on September 7. She will be joined by Miss Missouri’s Teen, Greta Clark, as both prepare to take the national stage.

As part of her prize package, Rowe receives more than $14,000 in scholarships, along with the official Miss Missouri crown and sash, a feature article in LO Magazine, wardrobe support from Joann’s of Tennessee, photography by Devine Studios, and accessories from Commanda Couture.

Other Recognized Contestants

Earlier in the competition, Miss Northwest’s Teen, Jaycee McMillian, was awarded the rookie evening gown winner.

McMillian, the daughter of Ashley and Tara McMillian of Park Hills, earned a $100 scholarship for her selection of a strapless velvet gown with a jeweled bodice and detachable tulle train.

Courtney Rowe’s victory as Miss Missouri 2025 not only reflects her talent and advocacy but also launches her into the national spotlight.

As she prepares for the Miss America pageant, Rowe is set to inspire others with her commitment to journalism, social work, and domestic violence awareness.
