Influencer brothers Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami after the UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced new criminal charges against them.
According to prosecutors, the latest case involves four additional alleged victims and includes charges of rape, sexual assault, human trafficking, offenses involving indecent images of a child, and extreme pornography. The brothers deny all allegations.
Who Are Andrew and Tristan Tate?
Andrew Tate, 39, and Tristan Tate, 38, are dual U.S.-British citizens and former professional kickboxers. They gained global attention through their online content promoting wealth, masculinity, and controversial views.
Andrew Tate has built a large social media following and previously faced bans from platforms including YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram for violating hate speech policies. The brothers are also known supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Details of the New Charges
The newly announced charges relate to alleged offenses committed between 2010 and 2017.
Andrew Tate faces:
- Seven additional rape charges
- Three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation
- Three assault charges
- Nineteen offenses involving indecent images of a child and extreme pornography
Tristan Tate faces:
- Two rape charges
- One sexual assault charge
- Three counts of arranging or facilitating sex trafficking
The latest allegations increase the number of alleged victims in the UK case to seven.
Ongoing Legal Cases in the UK and Romania
The CPS confirmed it has requested the brothers’ extradition from the United States to face the new charges in the UK.
The Tate brothers were already facing earlier UK charges involving rape, human trafficking, bodily harm, and controlling prostitution for financial gain connected to three other alleged victims.
They also remain involved in separate legal proceedings in Romania, where they were arrested in 2022 alongside two Romanian women over allegations of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The Romanian case has been delayed because of legal and procedural issues, and the brothers continue to deny wrongdoing.
Why Were the Brothers in the United States?
The Tate brothers traveled to Florida in February 2025 after Romanian authorities lifted travel restrictions while legal proceedings continued.
British authorities had previously sought their extradition once the Romanian legal process concluded. The CPS has now renewed that effort following the latest charges.
Andrew and Tristan Tate’s arrest in Miami marks another major development in their ongoing international legal battles. With fresh charges filed in the UK and extradition proceedings underway, the case continues to attract global attention while investigations remain active in both Britain and Romania.
