Reappointment Backed by Leadership and Experience

Governor Kevin Stitt reaffirmed his confidence in Russell by reappointing him to another six-year term, which extends until 2031. Leadership Across State and National Platforms

In addition to his work within Oklahoma, Russell is a nationally recognized figure in the workers’ compensation field. He currently serves as president-elect of the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators and is an active committee member of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions.

Russell works closely with fellow Commissioners Megan Tilly and Scott Biggs, both appointed by Governor Stitt, to uphold and enhance the integrity of the workers’ compensation system.

Award-Winning Public Service

In recognition of his service, Russell was recently honored by the State Chamber of Oklahoma with the 2025 Excellence in Public Service Award, acknowledging his dedication to fair and timely resolution of workers’ compensation disputes.

Russell’s Commitment to Oklahoma Workers

“I’m deeply honored by the Governor’s trust in my continued leadership,” said Chairman Russell. “Our Commission team remains focused on serving Oklahoma’s workers and employers, ensuring the law is implemented with fairness and efficiency.”

Educational Background

Russell holds a degree in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.

With a proven track record and deep commitment to public service, Jordan Russell’s reappointment marks a continued era of stability and leadership for Oklahoma’s workers’ compensation system.

His efforts help guarantee that the state’s injured workers and employers receive the support and fairness they deserve.
