Kansas Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Violent Burglary And High-Speed Chase

In a series of events that have shaken the Ottawa community, Curtis L. Lucas, 33, of Ottawa, Kansas, has been charged with multiple felonies, including attempted first-degree murder and aggravated residential burglary.

On Tuesday, at approximately 2:15 a.m., deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a distress call near K-68 Highway and Georgia Road, west of Ottawa.
