Oklahoma Human Services Expands Access with Mobile Office Initiative

Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) is enhancing accessibility by launching mobile office units, allowing residents to receive support closer to home.

This initiative is designed to eliminate travel barriers and ensure that vital services reach underserved areas.

What the Mobile Office Offers

The agency currently operates two fully equipped buses, each staffed with trained specialists. These mobile offices can:

  • Process new applications for public assistance programs
  • Update and review existing active cases
  • Issue EBT cards directly on-site
  • Collect necessary documentation
  • Respond to questions and provide case guidance

Each bus is capable of serving up to three individuals simultaneously, ensuring timely support without long waits.

Upcoming Stop: Sulphur, OK

The next scheduled stop for the mobile unit is at the Murray County Nutrition Site in Sulphur on Monday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents in the area are encouraged to visit and take advantage of these on-the-go services.

By bringing services on wheels, Oklahoma Human Services is making strides in improving community outreach, reducing accessibility barriers, and enhancing support for families and individuals in need.

This mobile effort reflects a strong commitment to meeting Oklahomans where they are—literally and figuratively.
