Oklahoma State University in Stillwater has announced that a total of 8,743 students have been recognized for their academic performance during the Spring 2025 semester.
This prestigious distinction includes students who achieved academic excellence and met the criteria for either the President’s Honor Roll or the Dean’s Honor Roll.
Outstanding Scholars Earn President’s Honor Roll Recognition
Among the honored students, 4,167 undergraduates were awarded a place on the President’s Honor Roll, the university’s highest academic achievement designation.
To qualify for this recognition, students must have been enrolled full-time, completing a minimum of 12 credit hours, and must have earned a perfect 4.00 grade point average (GPA)—equivalent to an “A” in every enrolled course during the semester.
This achievement reflects a high level of dedication, consistency, and mastery of course material across all academic disciplines.
These top-performing students exemplify the standards of academic excellence upheld by Oklahoma State University (OSU) and set a benchmark for their peers to follow.
Dean’s Honor Roll Highlights Consistent Academic Excellence
In addition to those named to the President’s Honor Roll, several thousand students were included in the Dean’s Honor Roll, which acknowledges commendable academic performance.
To earn this distinction, students must also be full-time undergraduates who completed at least 12 credit hours during the spring semester. However, instead of requiring straight A’s, the Dean’s Honor Roll recognizes students with a GPA of 3.50 or higher, with no individual course grade falling below a C.
This recognition celebrates students who consistently excel in their coursework and maintain strong academic performance across a variety of subjects.
It reflects their commitment to their studies and their ability to balance multiple academic responsibilities effectively.
Oklahoma State University’s Commitment to Academic Achievement
OSU continues to demonstrate its commitment to academic excellence by recognizing and celebrating students’ hard work each semester through its honor roll announcements.
These lists serve not only as a formal acknowledgment of outstanding performance but also as a motivating force for students across the university community.
Students who make it to either honor roll often enjoy enhanced opportunities, including greater consideration for internships, scholarships, and graduate programs, all of which value academic consistency and excellence.
Furthermore, these honors contribute positively to a student’s academic transcript and résumé, offering long-term benefits in their educational and professional pursuits.
Inspiring Academic Culture at OSU
By maintaining transparent and rigorous criteria for its honor rolls, Oklahoma State University fosters a culture of academic integrity and high performance.
These accolades not only spotlight individual achievement but also enhance the institution’s reputation as a leader in higher education.
Each semester, OSU continues to inspire students to strive for excellence, cultivating future leaders and professionals equipped with strong academic foundation.
