Saxony Lutheran High Awarded $39,050 Grant to Boost Agricultural Science Education

Saxony Lutheran High School has been awarded a $39,050 grant from the Missouri FFA Foundation, aimed at strengthening its agricultural science curriculum.

The funding will be used to purchase essential equipment and tools for the school’s new Agriculture Science Multipurpose Building, creating more immersive and hands-on learning experiences for students.

Part of Statewide Education Initiative

The funding comes through the Horizon and Rising Sun Grants program, which focuses on closing critical gaps in agriculture education across Missouri. This initiative supports schools in enhancing their agricultural programs through better resources and infrastructure.

Enhancing Student Learning at Saxony

Principal Mark Ruark expressed his enthusiasm in a statement, emphasizing that the new resources will play a vital role in enriching the school’s educational offerings.

“Receiving this grant will allow Saxony’s agricultural science program the ability to purchase the tools and equipment needed to furnish our brand-new Agricultural Science Multipurpose Building,” said Ruark.

“Our Crusaders will directly benefit, as their learning opportunities will expand with the addition of this new equipment.”
