Tragic Collision On I-270- 69-Year-Old Man Loses Life In Creve Coeur Crash​

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, a fatal accident occurred on northbound Interstate 270 near the Interstate 64 interchange in Creve Coeur, Missouri

The crash involved a 2000 Ford Explorer and a 1997 Honda CRV, resulting in the death of a 69-year-old man from St. Charles and serious injuries to two other individuals. ​

At approximately 1:45 p.m., the Ford Explorer, driven by the 69-year-old man, lost control and collided with the rear of the Honda CRV

Following the impact, the Explorer veered off the roadway and struck a pole, while the CRV also left the interstate and overturned. ​

Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the Explorer dead at the scene at 2:03 p.m. Reports indicate that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. ​

The Honda CRV was occupied by a 68-year-old woman from Mapaville and a 69-year-old man from Festus. Both individuals were wearing seatbelts and sustained serious injuries

They were transported by West County EMS to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for treatment. ​
