Emporia Fire Department has confirmed that two individuals were taken to Newman Regional Health following a two-vehicle collision that occurred Monday morning near the Emporia Municipal Airport.

The accident was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Kansas Highway 99, just outside the airport. According to Fire Captain Greg Davis, one injured person was transported from each vehicle involved in the wreck.
