The Unbound Gravel Finish Fest, a signature event organized by Emporia Main Street, made a vibrant impact on downtown Emporia as it drew in 16,000 attendees on Saturday alone.
Visitors flocked to the area to cheer on cyclists, enjoy local snacks and drinks, and experience the excitement of racers crossing the finish line.
Weekend Totals Surpass Expectations
Over the course of the full weekend, the event recorded a total of 37,000 visits, comprised of 24,000 unique visitors.
This not only highlighted strong community engagement but also positioned Emporia as a major destination during the event.
Emporia Welcomes the World
According to Casey Woods, the executive director of Emporia Main Street, the event delivered global visibility for the city. “We saw incredible support from locals in the Emporia area,” Woods said.
“But beyond that, we welcomed guests from Overland Park, Manhattan, and even visitors representing all 50 U.S. states and 47 different countries. It was an amazing opportunity for Emporia to shine on an international stage.”
