Lawrence School District has recently appointed Jason Schroeder as the next Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for Free State High School. This marks an exciting new chapter for the school as they welcome Schroeder into a leadership role.

A Rich Background in Education and Athletics
Schroeder brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous roles. He spent eight years as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for Atchison and Holton public schools.
His background also includes serving as an Athletic Director, teaching Physical Education, creating digital high school credit recovery courses, developing elementary enhancement programs, and coaching for seven years in McLouth.
Academic Qualifications
Schroeder holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and a Master’s degree from Emporia State University, further solidifying his academic foundation for the role.

Schroeder is set to begin his transition into the role in June. He will be succeeding Jered Shaw, who joined Free State High School in July 2022.
