Three Suspects Jailed After Robbery, Burglary And Battery Investigation

Three people were jailed this week after authorities said they were arrested in connection with a robbery, burglary and battery investigation in Topeka, Kansas.

The incident was reported around 8:37 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, in the 700 block of Southwest Fairlawn Road. Officers with the Topeka Police Department were called to the area after receiving a report of a robbery.

According to police, officers arrived and learned that a man had allegedly been robbed and that his truck had been stolen.

Investigation Leads To Three Arrests

Following the investigation, police arrested three people in connection with the case. Officials identified them as 41-year-old Betsy Jo Gust, 46-year-old Crystal Dawn Wakolee and 47-year-old Michael Angelo Woodworth, all of Topeka.

All three were booked into the Shawnee County Jail on Tuesday. As of Thursday, they remained in custody with bonds of $200,000 or more.

Authorities said the charges are connected to the reported robbery, the alleged burglary, the reported battery and the theft of the victim’s truck.

First Suspect Held On $250,000 Bond

Betsy Jo Gust, 41, was booked into the Shawnee County Jail at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Jail records showed she was being held in connection with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery and theft.

As of Thursday, Gust remained in jail on a $250,000 bond.

Second Suspect Held On $200,000 Bond

Crystal Dawn Wakolee, 46, was booked into the Shawnee County Jail at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday.

She was being held in connection with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery and theft.

Officials said Wakolee remained in jail Thursday on a $200,000 bond.

Third Suspect Held On $300,000 Bond

Michael Angelo Woodworth, 47, was booked into the Shawnee County Jail at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday.

He was being held in connection with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, theft and interference with a law enforcement officer.

Woodworth remained in custody Thursday on a $300,000 bond, the highest of the three bonds listed in the case.

No Immediate Injury Reports

Officials said there were no immediate reports of injuries connected to the incident.

Police have not released additional details about what allegedly happened before officers were called, how the victim’s truck was recovered, or whether any weapons were involved.

The investigation remains limited in public detail, and more information may be released if authorities provide updates.

Case Remains Under Review

The arrests mark a significant development in the case, but the charges remain allegations at this stage. The three suspects will have the opportunity to respond to the accusations through the court process.

Police have not announced whether additional suspects are being sought or whether further charges could be filed.
