Police said the incident happened in the area of North 82nd Terrace and Leavenworth Road. When officers arrived, they found a man outside a home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities said he died from his injuries on Monday.
He was identified as 64-year-old James Dodds, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas.
Three Suspects Taken Into Custody

The suspects were identified as 18-year-old Aaron Johnson, 18-year-old Mark Elliott, and 18-year-old Marquel McGee. Police said all three are residents of Kansas City, Kansas.
According to KCKPD, the three suspects are currently being held in the Harvey County Detention Center. They are pending transfer to Wyandotte County.
